Japanese Food Thai Style
For lunch today, the director took us all out to Oishi, a Japanese Buffet Restaurant, where for a mere 500 bhat a person ($13) you can eat all of the Japanese food you can eat in an hour and 45 minutes (each extra 10 minutes is 30 bhat per person) . The buffet was set up so that you could get your own cooked food, as you do in buffets back home, but you also had six mini-clips with the number of your table on them and you could fill your plate with fresh vegetables, meats and sea foods, clip your number on the plate, put your plate on the window for the chef, and in a few minutes you would have a freshly sauteed meal with your individually chosen ingredients. There was also a sushi bar, a soup bar, a salad bar, a Thai food bar and a counter with pictures of meals where you simply added your clip to the bar and the meal of your choice was brought to your table. It was delicious! I've decided I definitely need more seaweed in my diet! :)
